Just as they were working on a fragrance on the theme of a citrus orchard, Camille Goutal and Isabelle Doyen heard through an Italian friend about a secret garden near Rome: Ninfa. Waves of tree bark; lush greenery, citrus and unripe, green figs: the unisex scent they’d been dreaming of for months was born. Ninfeo, the elegant river that runs through the garden, gave the fragrance its name.
